The Ausangate trek leads through the stunning Vilcanota mountain range, part of the majestic Andes—the longest mountain chain in the world. This sacred journey takes you to one of the most revered peaks in Andean culture, Ausangate Mountain, which rises to an impressive 6,385 meters (21,262 ft).

For centuries, Ausangate has been worshiped as a powerful deity by the local communities of Cusco Spiritual Travel, who bring offerings to seek guidance and blessings for their life projects. DAY 1: CUSCO TINKY

We start our sacred journey traveling by bus to the south, for approximately 5 hours. Along this ancient route, we will visit traditional towns such as Urcos, Huancarany, and Ccaqca, immersing ourselves in the rich Andean culture. Then, we arrive at the town of Ocongate, where you can make your last purchases before continuing our adventure.

After that, we proceed to the Tinky community (3,800m / 12,467ft), an important stop in our sacred earth journey. In the afternoon, we will take a short hike to the Qoro Qoro mountain, a place filled with sacred energy and breathtaking landscapes. Here, we will set up camp for the night, preparing for the deeper connection with the Andean spirituality tour that awaits us.

DAY 2: UPIS

After breakfast, we begin our sacred journey towards the community of Q'otamuro, walking approximately 8 km along this ancient route. As we move through these sacred earth journey landscapes, we will witness the deep Andean culture, passing by small settlements of shepherds and talented weavers selling their crafts near the majestic Ausangate mountain.

This part of our Andean spirituality tour allows us to connect with the sacred energy of the land, appreciating the harmony between nature and local traditions. We will set up our campsite here at 4,390m (14,619ft), surrounded by breathtaking scenery and the timeless wisdom of the Andes.

DAY 3: PUCAQOCHA

Initially, the path follows an ancient route, ascending gently as we embark on this sacred journey. We will ascend approximately 800 m to the Arapa Pass (4,865 m), where we will be rewarded with breathtaking views of the majestic Ausangate and Surimna mountains, two powerful sources of sacred energy in the Andean world.

From there, we descend towards the mystical Pucaqocha Lake (4,550 m / 15,152 ft), a place of deep spiritual significance where we will camp for the night. This section of the trek is considered the most challenging, as we cover approximately 7 km, yet it is also one of the most rewarding, offering an unparalleled connection to the essence of Andean culture and the wisdom of the land.

This experience is more than a trek—it is a sacred earth journey, inviting us to embrace the transformative power of the Andean spirituality tour.

DAY 4: WANUWANU

This day, the sacred journey becomes more gentle as we follow an ancient route through the breathtaking Andean landscape. We ascend to 4,640 m at the Alkatany Pass, where we are rewarded with sacred energy and incomparable panoramic views of the Andes.

Continuing our transformational trek, we ascend further to the Palomani Pass (5,050 m / 16,564 ft), the highest point of our Andean spirituality tour, where we can deeply connect with the mystical power of these sacred mountains. Then, we descend into the serene Chillca Pynaya Valley (4,400 m / 14,432 ft), a region rich in Andean culture, where we will witness herds of alpacas and llamas grazing freely. This area is also home to the natural reserve of Huallatas, a species revered in Andean traditions.

We will set up our campsite here, immersed in the profound beauty of this sacred earth journey, allowing the spiritual essence of the Andes to guide and transform us.

DAY 5: PHAQCHANTA

This day of our sacred journey is relatively easy, with most of the trail at about 4,500 m high. As we continue along this ancient route, we will witness a spectacular view of Lake Qomercocha and Jawancocha, both considered sacred within Andean culture. Along the way, we may encounter native wildlife, such as vicuñas, vizcachas, and, if we are fortunate, the majestic condor, a powerful symbol of sacred energy in Andean spirituality tours.

Arriving at our campsite, we will be welcomed by natural medicinal hot springs, a perfect place to relax, rejuvenate, and absorb the healing energy of this sacred earth journey.

DAY 6: TINKY- CUSCO

This is our last day at the Ausangate Snow Mountain, a powerful site of sacred energy in the heart of the Andean culture. We will trek for approximately 3 hours, crossing vast hills and fields on this ancient route, before reaching the Tinky community (3,800 m / 12,654 ft).

Here, we will experience a transformational moment by preparing Pachamanca, a traditional Andean dish made with meat, potatoes, and other native ingredients, cooked underground using hot stones—an ancestral culinary tradition that connects us deeply to sacred earth journeys.

In Tinky, you will also have the opportunity to purchase local products, such as bottled water, soda, and beer. By afternoon, we will begin our return journey to Cusco Spiritual Travel, enjoying the last breathtaking views of the Andean spirituality tour, a trip filled with adventure, connection, and renewal. The bus ride back will take approximately 4 hours.
